As a popular theater and one of the few cultural meeting places in Charlottenburg-Nord, the Globe Berlin attaches particular importance to a low-threshold offer: this is reflected in the popular prices and the program: Shakespeare performances in German and English, in timeless modern translations, supplemented by introductions and post-show discussions.
Under the motto Volkstheater für Alle, the Globe Berlin, together with its media partners Charlottenburger:innern, Berliner:innen and visitors, invites you to a total of four free dress rehearsals:

Volkstheater für Alle

• On 12.6. Rausgegangen Berlin will host the season opening with the dress rehearsal of Romeo & Juliet.
• On 26.6. rbb radio3 invites you to the dress rehearsal of Urfaust.
• The German-language dress rehearsal of Hamlet on July 10 will be presented by tip Berlin and that of the English-language version on July 31 by The Berliner.
• The events will take place at 19:30 (admission: 18:30); an introduction to the work at 19:00 will be included as an extra.

The 100 x 2 complimentary tickets will be lotteried by the media partners, the links for participation will always be published 2 weeks before the respective performance on www.globe.berlin.

The Globe Ensemble Berlin brings Shakespeare's most frequently performed tragedy to the stage in the best tradition of popular theater: the most famous love story is told with a wealth of language and live music, with mask play and fight scenes and in its own fresh and poetic translation. A young love full of passion and fire meets the old hatred of two rival families. The themes of young love, old hatred, rivalry, passion, fear of loss, power and powerlessness, willingness to take risks, civil courage and ultimately the question of the meaning of human existence in the face of death run through a web of unfortunate coincidences. Only in the death of the two lovers does the hatred that has almost become a tradition come to an end and Romeo & Juliet become martyrs in a senseless war.

Globe Berlin

Since 2019, the Globe Berlin has been a venue for real folk theater in a unique open-air setting during the summer months. The program includes drama, spoken word and live music, Shakespeare performances in German and English in contemporary translations, as well as German classics - all at moderate ticket prices. Until the reconstruction of the former Schwäbisch Hall circular theater building is possible, a ring-shaped catwalk made of wooden components of the future Globe will serve as an open-air stage. The audience sits on chairs in the middle of the action, in which the surrounding nature and the urban backdrop also play a role.
