Yada - having sex and acknowledging the other. Sex is part of life in Judaism. It is not a sin. Sexuality is not dirty, not bad, not reprehensible. It is like hunger or thirst.
The Hebrew word yada, which means "to recognize someone", is also used when you want to express that you are having sex with someone. Yada means getting to know someone truly and intimately. And what could be better than sex when two naked bodies meet? What can the Christian-influenced European culture learn from this?
Mirna Funk talks to her guest about the positive aspects of sex in Judaism.
