Vortrag "Die Weltkünstlerin. Zur Rezeption von Käthe Kollwitz in Asien"

In his first lecture in March of this year, Dr. Werner Kraus (co-founder of the Chair of Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Passau and director of the Centre for Southeast Asian Art) addressed Käthe Kollwitz' reception in China. Following on from this, his second lecture will be devoted to the presence of Käthe Kollwitz in Indonesia, Pakistan and India.

Dr. Werner Kraus studied Southeast Asian Studies at the South Asia Institute of the University of Heidelberg and at the Modern Indonesia Project of Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. In 1984, he co-founded the Chair of Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Passau. Kraus is currently director of the Centre for Southeast Asian Art, a private research and documentation center.

The Käthe Kollwitz exhibition will be open longer on this occasion and can be visited until the start of the lecture at 7 pm.
