"Visions of Venus" - Exciting forays across the history of female music from classical & avant-garde to jazz, indie rock & art pop to singer-songwriter
In this cross-genre concert, Irish singer-songwriter Wallis Bird, known for her dedicated, powerful vocal performances, and the classical band SPARK celebrate female creativity in many facets - from the medieval melodies of Hildegard von Bingen or a Renaissance ground by Francesca Caccini to the impressionist sounds of Germaine Tailleferre and hits by Kate Bush, Janis G. by Kate Bush, Janis Joplin, Björk, Carole King and Tori Amos, complemented by Wallis Bird's own songs. In exciting new interpretations, the result is an indescribably feminine kaleidoscope that sparkles with imagination and passion.
