WASTA Wallraf Street Art - Focus on Gigo

In the organizer's words:

The Essen-based artist Gigo is planning a participatory art project: his interactive performance will start on September 11 at 7 p.m. with the aim of capturing and artistically recording the voices of the city.

WASTA stands for Wallraf Street Art and is a project of the University of Cologne. The festival combines art in public space with history and science. The focus is on a critical and creative examination of the Cologne scholar Ferdinand Franz Wallraf. After all, his influence continues to shape our city - even 200 years after his death.
