Weihnachtssingen im Kiez

Christmas caroling in the neighborhood is back! Like every third Advent of the year.

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, we invite you to sing the most beautiful German and international Christmas carols together with friends and family. The event will take place from 4 pm in the Kesselhaus of the Kulturbrauerei (admission from 3 pm). With a lot of joy and community spirit, we bring the pre-Christmas season to life - true to the motto: "Singing together makes you happy!"

This year's patron is Ansgar Freyberg, drummer of the cult band The BossHoss. The band, founded in Berlin in 2004, achieved their breakthrough in 2005 with country versions of well-known pop songs. Today, Hoss Power writes most of the songs, including their hit 'Don't Gimme That'. Freyberg, who is originally from Hanover, found his bandmates Alec Völkel and Sascha Vollmer through an advertising agency in Berlin. Together they tour worldwide as The BossHoss.

2 euros per ticket will go to the Sage Hospital, an institution in Berlin/Brandenburg. Sage Hospital e.V. has been supporting a children's hospital in Senegal since 2003. The initiative began with fundraising campaigns at the SAGE Club in Berlin and developed further to finance the operation and expansion of the hospital.

As always, our changing singers and choirs will provide the musical direction. This year, we will once again be accompanied by the choir of the Berlin Stage Company, who will lead the singing together with their enthusiasm. The lyrics will be displayed on a large screen so that everyone can sing along. The Berlin Stage Company is a musical society from Prenzlauer Berg that has been enthusiastically staging musicals and shows for all age groups since 2007.

Before and after the event, we recommend a stroll through the atmospheric St. Lucia Christmas market at the Kulturbrauerei to round off the afternoon in a festive atmosphere.
