What Are People For? make the perfect kind of dystopian dance music for our times. The result of a collaboration between artist Anna McCarthy and musician/producer Manuela Rzytki, the band could be the lovechild of Tom Tom Club and Throbbing Gristle, exhibiting the ideal balance between hip-swinging vibes and dark, provocative content. The band's visual identity is a key part of their appeal. Live, they are eccentric, wild and outspoken, wearing see-through costumes, garish miniskirts and intricate headdresses as they perform their songs with great intensity. Their performances exude queer sexiness and transcend aesthetics, creating a space for collective dreaming.

WAPF? is a rare combination of contemporary punk energy, irresistible groove, absurdly dry humor and astounding creativity. They have the power to ignite a party with their music, your arms raised and coming out of your mouth: WAPF? WAPF? WAPF?

Admission (hall) 7.30 pm (the café is open beforehand), start 8 pm.

Please dress comfortably - depending on the weather, the hall doors may be open, so it may be a bit open air.
