„WOHIN MIT DEM GANZEN PAPIER?“ - Infoveranstaltungen zum Thema “Literarische Nachlässe”

Information events for authors, journalists and other multipliers on the subject of "Literary estates"

The Rheinisches Literaturarchiv has already organized two training events for authors at the Heinrich Heine Institute, in 2006 and 2011/12. The aim was to inform them about the right conditions for storing their materials. Time and time again, it turns out when bequests are handed over that they have been completely or partially destroyed due to improper storage or that important documents have been disposed of by the bequeathers themselves.

The aim of the new series of events "What to do with all the paper?" is to address not only authors but also critics, publishers and event organizers and to raise awareness of the issue of their legacy.

The aim is to exchange experiences in a relaxed discussion, during which the participants can learn everything important about the legal situation, storage procedures, assessment of their own offerings (what is worth archiving, what is not?) and more. The event will be rounded off with a talk by the well-known author Christoph Peters, who will report on his "experiments with archives".

An event in cooperation with the Fritz-Hüser-Institut Dortmund.
