Wolfgang Valbrun: The super-voice of soul comes to the Gretchen with his debut album "Flawed By Design".

Born in New York, Wolfgang Valbrun is no stranger to the avant-garde British soul and jazz band Ephemerals, as it was his voice that made the band so recognizable. His solo debut "Flawed By Design" is carried by a broad spectrum of psychedelic soul noir, deep funk and 70s soul, enriched with influences from gospel, blues, rock and jazz. Wolfgang Valbrun's point of reference is the classic soul sound of the sixties and seventies, which he transforms into a modern, timeless groove. The focus is on his impressive voice, which in its versatility can pull out all the stops of soul, from angry accusation to tender praise of hope.
