Zero Waste Hasenheide: Clean-Up & Upcycling

In the "Zero Waste Hasenheide" project, we collect waste in the park and turn valuable raw materials such as plastic, glass and metal into beautiful souvenirs such as key rings. Residents and local stakeholders such as associations, church communities, artists and companies are supporting us. Be part of it!

40 times more plastic waste ends up on land than in the sea: 192,000,000 tons! Plastic in the soil harms animals, changes the biological and physical properties of the soil and thus prevents plant growth. Microplastics break down slowly and therefore accumulate. Polluted and littered parks cannot be used as recreational and nature experience areas.
