THE EXPO FESTIVAL - A Showcase of Wahlberliner*innen

In the festival's words:

The 2022 EXPO Festival presents works by around 100 artists from 30 different countries who have made Berlin their adopted home. As both a local and an international festival, it occupies a unique position in Berlin's cultural landscape.

Berlin's independent scene, the community of independent performing arts, is characterized by its diversity of backgrounds, artistic and aesthetic practices, working methods and philosophies. One of EXPO's most important goals since its founding in 2013 has been to reflect this in the festival's cross-disciplinary performances. From theater to dance to material performance or work-in-progress performances as part of the newcomer platform ExpLoRE - a diverse and international program awaits the audience at Fidicinstraße in Kreuzberg's Bergmannkiez.
