We are only too happy to head for the small but fine Anton Reiser bookstore in the hospital district when we need a supply of good reads. Silke Reichelt and Ulrich Rieder have been running the cozy store in Kleine Beurhausstraße for a good 15 years, paying particular attention to fiction. If you don't find what you're looking for, or if you prefer scientific literature to a good thriller, you don't have to leave the store right away - on the contrary: Mr. Rieder will advise you, order the desired copy, and it will usually be ready for pickup in the store one or two days later. That's always been the case - it's just part of the good manners of the book trade. And if you don't know whether you're in the mood for a German crime novel or an American thriller, just flop down on one of the comfortable retro armchairs and read the blurb at your leisure until you've made up your mind.
