The Haus am Waldsee is a venue for international art created in Berlin. Since 1946 it has been one of the leading exhibition houses for contemporary art in Germany. Five exhibitions a year present mostly individual positions of international contemporary art as well as classical post-war modernism in the fields of visual arts, design and architecture. The lakeside sculpture park is also open year-round. Regular artist talks, artist dinners, guided tours, art workshops and concerts are held at the exhibitions. Audio guides on modernist architecture are also offered, leading into the immediate vicinity of the house, where an unusually large number of incunabula of architecture between the Werkbund and Bauhaus can be discovered.
