The headquarters of Heidelberg Materials, the founding partner of the Heidelberger Frühling music festival, completed in 2020, clearly demonstrates just how versatile concrete can be as a material. In particular, the white, prefabricated façade with its curved, open shape characterizes not only the building itself, but also its surroundings. From the outset, the building was designed to meet the "Platinum" standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). The eye-catchers of the representative, light-flooded foyer, which features a lot of exposed concrete on the inside, are three spectacular "tree supports" made of fine concrete that stand 11 meters high in the room.
