Kultur Bahnhof Eller

Built in 1872, the train station in Düsseldorf's Eller district has a long history. Around 100 years after it was built, in the fall of 1975, the first artist's studio was moved in there. The first exhibition took place in 1982. In 1984, the city of Düsseldorf purchased the Kultur Bahnhof Eller, and two years later the Freundeskreis Kulturbahnhof Eller e.V. was founded. Since the first exhibition in the early 1980s, some 600 artists* have exhibited their works there to date. And the story continues.
