WIP "The Smallest Things"

Herzlich willkommen zum WIP Format auf dem Berlin Circus Festival!

Mit "The smallest things" lädt das Festival gemeinsam mit  der Cie Moost zur Abschlusspräsentation einer Künstlerresidenz. Sie zeigen das unfertige Ergebnis einer einwöchigen Recherche . 

„The Smallest Things“ ist ein melancholisches und humorvolles Duo, das vor den Augen des Publikums ganz ohne Künstlichkeit aus Nichts eine Performance erschafft. 

​In der neuen Kreation treten Marc Oosterhoff und Owen Winship auf einer kahlen Bühne auf. Die beiden Publikumslieblingen von "Lab Rats" und "Natures Mortes" loten sie die Möglichkeiten aus, die diese minimalistische Umgebung bietet.

Die beiden Darsteller nutzen, was gerade zur Hand ist. Im leeren Raum lassen sie mit wenigen Worten und spielerischer Akrobatik kleine und große Kunststücke entstehen.  Das Publikum kann live all die Kunstgriffe miterleben, aus denen sich das Spektakel zusammensetzt. 

Die Compagnie Moost, gegründet von Marc Oosterhoff, verbindet in ihren Kreationen Circus, Tanz und Theater – stets auf der Suche nach einem nicht-elitären, verspielten Zugang zu den darstellenden Künsten.  Das Berlin Circus Festival unterstützt die neue Produktion "The smallest things" mit einer Residenz und freut sich das Arbeitsergebnis als Work-in-Progress ins Programm aufnehmen zu können.

With “The smallest things”, the Berlin Circus Festival, in collaboration with Cie Moost, invites you to witness a work-in-progress of their one week residency. 

“The Smallest Things” is a melancholic and humorous duo that creates a performance out of nothing, right before the audience’s eyes, without a trace of artifice. 

In this new production, Marc Oosterhoff and Owen Winship take to a bare stage. The two audience favourites from “Lab Rats” and “Natures Mortes” explore the possibilities offered by this minimalist setting.

The two performers make use of whatever is to hand. In the empty space, they create feats both small and grand with just a few words and playful acrobatics. The audience can witness live all the tricks that make up the spectacle. 

The Moost Company, founded by Marc Oosterhoff, combines circus, dance and theatre in its creations – always in search of a non-elitist, playful approach to the performing arts. The Berlin Circus Festival is supporting the new production “The smallest things” with a residency and is delighted to be able to include the work-in-progress in its programme.
