The artistic intervention "Black faces in white? space" consists of photographs, poetry, conversations and films that deal with the everyday reality of black people in Germany. The aim of the constantly expanded and newly compiled work is to challenge the white? knowledge system and to deconstruct it. The presentation aims to combat racism and appropriate spaces to strengthen other narratives about Black people that represent a Black perspective.
The artist ...thabo thindi lives and works in (South) Africa and Berlin. With his interventions he wants to empower, heal and give a sense of dignity to the oppressed masses. Before and during the presentation at Galerie Einwand he will meet and photograph Black Munich residents.
