Kick-off event at the Urania Berlin

From September 13 to 27, Fair Trade Week 2024 will take place as the largest Fair Trade action week under the motto "Fair. And no more degrees!".

With around 2,000 events nationwide, Fair Trade Week is an important event for everyone who is committed to or interested in (climate) fair world trade.

The organizing team cordially invites you to ring in Fair Trade Week 2024 with us! We look forward to exciting guests who will report from different perspectives on how young people in the Global South and North in particular are affected by the climate crisis and how they are committed to climate justice.

What impact does climate change have on cocoa cultivation and how do farmers benefit from fair trade? We talk about this with our guests from the COOPROAGRO cocoa cooperative in the Dominican Republic. From Katharina van Bronswijk, psychologist and author of the book "Klima im Kopf", we want to find out how we can best stand up to the climate crisis. Let's start with some good news: The best medicine against climate anxiety is activism! That's why we have invited young people who are involved in fair trade and will tell us why and how they are doing this.

At our Market of Opportunities, you will also have the chance to get to know organizations that are active in this field. We would be delighted if you were there too! Take the opportunity to talk to our guests and get to know the organizers of Fair Trade Week, the Forum Fairer Handel, Fairtrade Germany and the Weltladen-Dachverband.
