xcuse:u takes over House of Bade at Badehaus, bringing along a stellar lineup to fill the night with eclectic sounds and community vibes. 🌈✨

This night is going to be special, filled with colorfully curated tunes, dancefloor liberation, and an incredible sense of community.

The Berlin DJ and culture collective xcuse:u e.V. was founded in June 2022 by Ele, Kiki, Freya and Chiara with the help of a grant from Popkultur Lokal. The aim of the collective is to take progressive steps towards an inclusive club culture. With their events dedicated to the political aspects of club culture – such as representation, empowerment, safer spaces and raising awareness of discrimination – they want to create community spaces where people can inform themselves and raise awareness through workshops on (queer) feminist topics. xcuse:u wants to show that it is possible to make club nights safer, more non-discriminatory and more supportive. The representation of FLINTA* artists is clearly in the foreground – but the events are open to all supporters.

Sleeptwitch is one for the nerds: bringing the oldschool sounds to life with a focus on electro, detroit sounds and dreamy robotic music. This time they prepared a special mixture from acid house, to fun classics and everything in between.
Actively engaged in Berlin’s music scene, she hosts two ongoing radio shows at Cashmere Radio and Systems Radio and is part of two collectives (@xcuseu.kollektiv @crush.kollektiv), organizing female and queer focused events, workshops, DJ sessions, and much more.

elliephunk is an avid SoundCloud surfer, old-time CD collector, and Berlin based, Taiwanese-American artist who has an unwavering passion for community building, and curating soundscapes that move the soul. Her sets are often lined with a groovy, punchy bass, and her body-moving selects generally pull from a housey mix of minimal bounce, handbag vocals, jazzy instrumentals, rhythmic beats, and UKG breaks… she’s also known for sprinkling in ’80s soul, and nostalgic ’90s RnB/hip-hop samples for extra flavor.
Beyond the decks: As founder, catalyst, and “main mamacita” at casadephunk (a.k.a. casa), she’s taking an offbeat approach to event curation and shaping a new community around the concept “casa = house = home”. Bouncing between cozy, elevated in-house programs, and thoughtfully cute club nights, casa’s events bring together a diverse mix of artists from a wide range of disciplines: from visual to design, to fashion, to live music, to DJs and producers from various experience levels.
