Knowledge Transfer Lab

Digitalization offers institutions many opportunities to share their knowledge with the people they are intended for. However, trying to keep up with the various platforms and technologies is an expensive and never-ending process.

In this two-day workshop, the Übersee-Museum will report on its journey to build a sustainable, digital, global network of experts who contribute their knowledge. This community includes journalists, scientists, artists and activists from different communities. This approach has enabled the museum to develop innovative prototypes that combine metadata and storytelling to create original artworks. The NEO Collections project was carried out over a period of 3.5 years and funded by the KSB.
