Kunst vom Spätmittelalter bis zur beginnenden Moderne

In the organizer's words:

Since the beginning of the year, the MdbK's permanent exhibition has been accessible free of charge! On two floors - on the 1st and 2nd floor - we show European art from the Renaissance to early modernism from our own collection.
Since late summer 2023, the three monumental major works by Max Klinger (1857 - 1921) can be seen together for the first time at the MdbK: The Crucifixion of Christ - owned by the MdbK since 1918, Christ on Olympus - on permanent loan from the Austrian Belvedere Gallery since 1938, and The Judgment of Paris - also on loan from the Belvedere. Guests from other collections as well as photographic interventions by Çihan Cakmak (*1993) and Harry Hachmeister (*1979) temporarily complement the collection presentation.
