Comic hero Popeye, the muscle-bound sailor, constantly has to fight all kinds of adversaries. Mostly to rescue his long-term girlfriend Olive Oyl from dire straits. In "Love", everything is different: author Sivan Ben Yishai makes sidekick Olive the main protagonist, and the two comic characters become prototypes for heterosexual relationships today. Intimate matters are made public because social power relations are inscribed in the stories of the body. As a keen-eyed observer of her own love life, Olive dissects the ambivalence between female self-determination and losing oneself in old relationship patterns - only to reinvent herself in the end.

Nominated for the Mülheim Theater Prize 2020. Sivan Ben Yishai was awarded the Mülheim Drama Prize 2022 for her play "Wounds Are Forever (Self-Portrait as a National Poet)".
The "Theater heute" critics' survey for the 2021/22 season voted Sivan Ben Yishai "Playwright of the Year".
