Literary magazines are the pulsating center of creativity: this is where current topics are examined from all sides, where established, but above all new and exciting voices have their say, where space is offered for experiments and new forms.

On this evening, the creators and authors of three exciting magazines will talk about their origins & goals, work & conditions - and of course they will also read! Including:

• Das Wetter - Magazin für Text und Musik is an independent cultural magazine that was founded in Berlin in October 2013. It has been published quarterly ever since and is available nationwide. The publisher and editor-in-chief is Sascha Ehlert; the literary editor and proofreader is Katharina Holzmann.
• defrag - zine für feministisch_utopische gedankenexperimente is a self-published print magazine that has been in existence since 2019. It is an intersectional-feminist and anti-racist zine collective based in Düsseldorf. defrag is an open format and combines artistic and academic positions with an intersectional-feminist attitude. Illustrations are juxtaposed with essays, photographs with cultural studies analysis, poems and music mixes. The editors are Ina Holev, Jolande Hörrmann, Lisa Tracy Michalik & Lan Nguyen
• KURZE - Anthologie des Literarischen Schreibens is an anthology of literary writing published annually at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne since 2018. Its main focus is on short forms: Poems, short stories and essays.
