OUT OF LINE - art and cultural event focuses on atypical ways of thinking

The previous art and culture event ADHS is power 2023 in Cologne showed that the open approach to neurodiversity is resonating. OUT OF LINE builds on this and brings together artists who deal creatively with non-linear life paths, including breaks and deviations.

PerformART 3-6 pm

Over the course of three hours, seven artists work together to create an immersive and dynamic atmosphere in which atypical ways of thinking are translated into high-contrast performances and audiovisual structures.

→ The duo Pascal and Mar.Gerrit play with connection, control and detachment in Action Painting.
They create a sculptural center that moves freely through the space and where black painting meets screaming colors. → In her interactive performance, Julia-Lena Lippoldt uses chalk, spray paint, earth and water as tools to playfully overcome boundaries. She invites people to walk together, stop, look at each other and tell stories, dance, sing, sweat and do something nonsensical. → The duo Avatar Curators plays installation and visual live music. With recorders, electronics, trumpets and spatial arrangements, Verena Barié and Rochus Aust invent expanded artistic dimensions. → Silvan Catterfeld's visual spatial installation blurs the boundaries between natural macro-worlds and industrial aesthetics, immersing viewers in a surrealistic world.
→ Equipped with her typewriter, jhajhawhy captures what is happening and immediately creates a lyrical impression of the event. Will this interplay of observing and being observed change her perception and that of the participants?

Open Space 18-19:30

An open space offers the opportunity for active participation and in-depth exchange. Moderated by Stan (non-binary, neurodivergent, queer, person with disabilities), this "fluid space" for dialog and networking around topics of (neuro)diversity and atypical ways of thinking invites you to make your own creative mark.

Live Drum'n'Bass'n'Violin 19:30-21 h

The two Berliners-by-choice Judy and Helge combine their love of modern bass music with traditional instruments. On drums with fast breaks, heavy synth basses and percussive violin action, uglydub is a "freak-out" experience to dance OUT OF LINE to.

The Odonien venue is a "free state for art and culture". The established event location between the scrap yard and sculpture park in Neu-Ehrenfeld is suitable for an art-loving and curious audience that is open to an unusual atmosphere. The event promotes cultural participation and is open to a diverse audience free of charge. PerformART from 3 to 6 p.m. also allows children accompanied by adults to participate. The entire program is suitable for young people. A barrier-free toilet is available. There will be orientation and information about the event at the entrance.
