In the organizer's words:

"Jews from Kurdistan in Jerusalem" deals with the history of Jewish emigration from Kurdistan in the 1950s, their settlement and integration process in Israel until the 1990s and their everyday cultural production in Jerusalem today. In particular, the film shows how Jews from Kurdistan in Jerusalem use Kurdish dishes such as kubbeh (dumplings), a variety of traditional circle dances and maqam melodies in synagogues to address their identities, connect with their roots and evoke the narrated memories of their ancestors in Kurdistan. The film documents the realities and contemporary way of life of Jews from Kurdistan in Jerusalem.
