Special edition: Black light slam

Imagine it's pitch black in the Fabriktheater. Only individual lines glow in neon colors in the black light. Shadow wall? No need, because even then you can only see the outlines of the poets on stage, who bring their texts to life in a lively performance. Like a darkslam, only with light, so to speak. What more can we say? You know what black light looks like, you know what a slam that places special emphasis on the artists' performance looks like - you'll see everything else. Welcome to the world's first black light slam.

At Schall & Rauch, the artists perform under code names behind a shadow wall - name recognition and appearance take a back seat. Voting takes place with separate scores for text and performance. Every month, the organizing team Jesko Habert & Clara Schlempp invite a variety of musical guests to enrich the evening with feature interludes.

The city's most experimental slam unites newcomers and professionals - and only the text and the performance penetrate the shadow wall hanging from the stage of the Fabriktheater. What's so experimental? Slam poets are generally allowed to use props behind the Schall & Rauch shadow wall - this alone invites unexpected artistic experiments. And special editions are added at irregular intervals: Themed slams, booze specials, gambling editions or the infamous erotic edition have given Schall & Rauch a reputation for always serving up artistic novelties. Don't worry: the special editions are of course specially marked here!
