Stimming & NDR Vokalensemble: The Wild Duck

Vocal works on the theme of "mercy" from the Renaissance to Beethoven. Electronic sounds and live processing by Stimming

Choir meets electronica: at the heart of the program is the call for mercy for a world in need, as heard in the vocal music of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Leoš Janáček (whose choral song "Kačena divoká", "The Wild Duck", inspired the title of the concert) and Einojuhani Rautavaara. Fellowship artist Stimming interweaves the vocals of the NDR Vokalensemble live with electronic sounds - from contemplative to deep and technoid.
