The Toasters - Men in Underwear Tour

Almost 40 years of band history, over 6,000 energetic live performances and an uncompromising attitude: 100% kickass. The legendary ska band THE TOASTERS has long been an institution and is ranked by New York's famous CBGB Club as one of their top 20 bands of all time. Founded in 1981 by Robert "Bucket" Hingley in the Lower East Side of New York, he still leads the band today with unwavering passion and a unique musical vision.

With nine studio albums, countless EPs and singles on their own label "Moon Ska Records", THE TOASTERS played a decisive role in shaping the ska of the 90s in the USA. Their style is unmistakable, with influences ranging from the Jamaican roots of ska to a modern, American interpretation that has inspired bands all over the world.

Heather Augustyn, author of Ska: An Oral History, describes their influence as follows: "To ska in America, THE TOASTERS are what The Specials were to Britain and the Skatalites were to Jamaica - innovators and trailblazers who took the genre in a new direction and reinvented it with American style. On the shoulders of giants."

Now, almost four decades later, THE TOASTERS are just getting started. The band is touring tirelessly and playing their shows around the globe: in the USA, Canada, Poland, France, England and, of course, Germany. Gigs in South America, Russia and Asia are even on the agenda for the anniversary tour.
