The quartet around the German-French pianist Antoine Spranger creates multi-layered worlds of sound through profound compositions and sensitive interplay. Musical narratives inspired by modern jazz, romanticism and expressionism, among others, unfold in a fine web of unmistakable melodies and intense interplay.

With uncompromising dedication, the band explores dynamics and sound, always in search of new lyrical dimensions. Each individual instrument blends into the collective sound with nuanced precision, creating expressive musical visions.

The ensemble was founded following a meeting between Antoine Spranger and bassist Matis Regnault, who is rooted in the Parisian jazz scene, at the International Association of Schools of Jazz Meeting in Zagreb. Their immediate musical understanding led to the creation of a joint project, which initially took shape as a trio with drummer Tobias Frohnhöfer - Antoine's long-time musical companion. Since 2023, Parisian saxophonist Ludovic Ernault has expanded the ensemble into a permanent quartet, which now performs regularly in France and Germany.

An important milestone for the band was the funding from the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation in 2020. In 2023, the quartet recorded its debut album at the renowned ECM recording hall "Auditorio Stelio Molo" in Lugano.
