Singer Katja Friedenberg and pianist Thomas Höhl have been an inseparable musical team for 17 years. The two met at the beginning of their music studies in Kassel and started making music together on their very first day. Since then, they have been delighting audiences with their impressively emotional interplay. They interpret well-known pop, soul and jazz songs and give them their own touch - sometimes dreamy, sometimes funny, or sometimes really weird. The audience can expect an entertaining program of German and English repertoire.
Since their 10th anniversary concert, it has become a tradition to transform their duo into a trio every fall.
Christian Svenson, a gifted, versatile drummer from Kassel, supports them with his sophisticated grooves. He gives the duo the icing on the cake for a varied concert evening. And so "Sentimental Two" becomes "Sentimental Three".
Katja Friedenberg, who lives in Mannheim and is a Capitol native, is now bringing her boys to Mannheim to perform.

About the actors:
Katja Friedenberg, who is also known from season 1 of The Voice, has been accompanying stars of the German-speaking music scene with her gentle and versatile voice through all genres with stylistic confidence on the VOX TV show Sing meinen Song every year since 2014, among others. She also delights her audience as a soloist on German concert, theater and variety stages not only with her singing, but also with her engaging and likeable stage presence and charisma, and immediately captivates the audience. She has been known to the Capitol for over 10 years through her film music concerts, musical poets and her roles in Hair and Heldenzeit.

After studying at the University of Kassel, Thomas Höhl completed his Master of Music in film music composition at the Freiburg University of Music. Whether humorous or emotional accompaniment - the electrifying pianist, who becomes one with his instrument as soon as he touches it, is immediately recognizable as a composer and arranger. His compositions for films and video games have already been heard at numerous international festivals. In winter 2023, he most recently accompanied Gregor Meyle on his winter tour.

Christian Svenson is an experienced drummer across all genres and has accompanied many different bands, musical theater productions and orchestras with his versatile playing at the Kassel and Braunschweig State Theaters, in the NDR Radiophilharmonie or for Hessischer Rundfunk. From metal to jazz, he serves the most diverse genres and has been a sought-after drummer for over 25 years, who nevertheless decided to accompany the new generations pedagogically and enter the Hessian school service after several years of school break.
