The AGV Symphony Orchestra is both one of the oldest and one of the youngest ensembles in the AGV. We can look back on a long tradition of orchestras in the AGV, but we were only founded in this form in the fall of 2021 by merging the Young Orchestra with the Large Orchestra. Our first project in summer 2022 included Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1 as well as "Die Moldau" by Bedrich Smetana and the "Freischütz Overture" by Carl Maria von Weber. We already performed Puccini's Messa di Gloria and Dvorak's Te Deum in a similar form in the Herkulessaal in summer 2016 together with the Great and Young Choirs (see our concert chronicle).
