In the artist's words:

"The stars burn weary, the sparrow is dead in your hand Come we'll run across the Jordan and preach to the sand"

Ahab's Left Leg find lyrical expression for the contradictory impulses of your mind, for the longing for vastness, the gentle yearning for escalation and the quiet hope for a better tomorrow. They play music between fragile intimacy and riot, between touching and mangy, poetic and political.

Two brothers with a penchant for clattering grooves and echoing walls of guitars meet a grumpy Ruhrpottjesus on double bass and a drum wizard from the southern states. Song lyrics full of fine poetry - sometimes subliminally threatening, sometimes an open call for revolution - are brought to life with a mixture of concrete desert folk, seafaring blues and whale song.

Ahabs Linkes Bein will release their first album Drohgebärde in September 2023 and celebrate its release at Badehaus Berlin on September 2
