Ahzumjot

In the artist's words:

It's 2025 - the music industry is upside down. While social media used to be a tool to promote music as easily as possible, the focus is now on making viral reels and tiktoks and new releases are really nothing more than the 40-second audio sample that goes with them. Albums are losing relevance, so Ahzumjot is making three of them directly and playing concept shows where they premiere and fans don't know what to expect.

But let's take a step back. The 35-year-old rapper, producer, engineer and art director has always done things a little differently. In 2016, there were the quarterly projects, including a collabo EP with Lance Butters, in 2017 the playlist album "RAUM", instrumental releases and, in between, productions for artists such as Casper, Nura, Apsilon and Majan. The Hamburg all-rounder is also one of the most ambitious live performers and has been shining here for 13 years with thrilling rollercoaster rides between energetic demolition and emotional storytelling. He also demonstrates his expertise in creating special concert experiences by acting as musical director for artists such as Trettmann's live shows.

With "WINTER TAT WEH" and "FRANCIS", he has now released the first two parts of his album trilogy in 2024 and 2025. What will the last part sound like? It's hard to say when the first part sounds so emotional and fragile, while the second album roars so aggressively and furiously through the speakers. One thing is certain: Ahzumjot will do whatever he wants.
