Amelie Schoo

In the artist's words:

Hi, I'm Amelie Schoo - choir director, singer and flautist from Cologne.
I have been directing choirs for many years and have experienced how singing together brings people together. I currently lead the Veedelperlen, with whom I was able to organize my own concert in the Cologne Philharmonie in 2025 and performed in the Lanxess Arena and on Zdf Fernsehgarten.

As a flautist, I am an integral part of the transcultural crossover ensemble "Samhita". I also recently organized my first own chamber music benefit concert "Klangspende" - a project close to my heart that combines music and solidarity.

With my queer-feminist band Bubs. I am musically committed to equal rights/position and a deeper awareness of diversity. In addition to our own songs, our repertoire therefore mainly includes pieces by artists who deal with empowerment, but also discrimination and oppression in their lyrics.

Whether in the choir, in class, in an ensemble or on stage: I look forward to a musical encounter with you!
