Amnon Seelig

Cantor Amnon Seelig was born in Munich in 1982 and grew up in Israel. He completed his vocal and music theory studies at the Jerusalem Academy of Music with a Bachelor's degree and his vocal studies with Prof. Donald Litaker at the Karlsruhe University of Music with a Master's degree. From 2010, Amnon Seelig completed a Master's degree in Jewish Studies at the University of Potsdam and was ordained as a synagogue cantor by the Abraham Geiger College in 2015. From 2011-2015, Amnon Seelig regularly performed in synagogues in Berlin, and from 2015-2017 he was cantor of the Jewish community in Düsseldorf. Amnon Seelig is a sought-after baritone and has sung in renowned choirs and vocal ensembles in Israel and Germany, including the Rundfunk Chor Berlin, the Stuttgarter Kammerchor, the Vokalquintett Berlin, the Vokalensemble Rastatt and the Vokalensemble Berlin. He is a founding member of the trio "Die Drei Kantoren", which has been performing in Jewish communities and various venues across Germany since 2013. Amnon Seelig has been cantor of the Jewish community in Mannheim since 2017.

Cantor Amnon Seelig is the father of three children.
