Imagine a land where the clouds are made of cotton candy and it rains glitter. Sometimes it's purple glitter, in a gray mystical sky that shines in all shades of gold, sometimes it's pink fluffy hearts that sway in the breeze and land peacefully and gently on the nose of a unicorn, only to spontaneously fizzle out shortly afterwards. This is the land where Anna Venture is at home.

"My first great love was Oriental dance. The closeness to the audience, the sedan chair and the fluidity of the movements, as well as fast drum pieces that you can playfully improvise to, appealed to me. I performed belly dance shows for ten years and 10 years ago, I discovered my love for the art of burlesque. My shows today are inspired by classic divas and playful swing girls as much as they are by modern pop culture. I like to mix both elements and my acts range from Titanic homage to pizza baker to opulent showgirl.

I have also been performing regularly as Drag King Carlos Carlos for two years and love to play with expectations, gender and gender roles."
