The Asasello Quartet is a European ensemble. Since its foundation in 2000 in Walter Levin's chamber music class in Basel, the musicians have not only made a name for themselves as outstanding interpreters of the classical-romantic repertoire and new music. They graduated from the Cologne University of Music and Dance with the Alban Berg Quartet and David Smeyers. Numerous prizes and awards as well as the promotion of their own projects allow the realization of new ideas, special recording techniques and concert forms. The programs are intelligent and sophisticated, never mainstream. If necessary, Asasello will even jump out of his chair or out of his tails.
