Axel Jung

In the artist's words:

Axel Jung (*1976 Frankfurt am Main) is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Taunusstein. His studio serves as a creative retreat where he intensively explores figurative painting. His works are characterized by spiritual and religious themes.

In his paintings, he combines classical painting techniques with a conscious mindfulness inspired by his Zen practice. Light, composition and the vibrancy of nature play a central role in his art. Animals often appear as metaphors for spiritual themes and lend his paintings a symbolic level.

His works have been presented in numerous exhibitions in the Rhine-Main region.
