Baritonia - jazz meets groove, electronics and dolce vita

Baritonia is a tribute to the baritone saxophone - an instrument that often plays in the background but rarely takes the limelight. With tonal sophistication and elegance, the band combines atmospheric jazz sounds with subtle electronic nuances, driving grooves and a dancing lightness.

Gentle saxophone lines flow with silvery flute breath and honey-warm horn sounds to create compositions full of images - from graceful dance movements to the deep blue mare italiano. The pulsating rhythm section interweaves subtle nuances with powerful dynamics and invites you to let yourself drift.

Baritonia is more than just a band - it is a collective that understands each other blindly and follows just one motto: tutto passa, ma non la dolce vita.

Behind the project is Valentina Oefele, born in Munich and half-Italian, who has established herself as a saxophonist throughout the German-speaking world. She has already performed with renowned bands such as the Jazzrausch Bigband, the Sunday Night Orchestra and the Tobias Becker Bigband. She has also been involved in theater and musical productions at the Munich Residenztheater and the Luisenburg Festival and has played with Austrian pop greats WANDA and Seiler und Speer. A musician who is at home in a wide variety of projects - but with Baritonia she brings her own sonic vision to life.
