And they are not alone in this prediction: music lovers and critics draw comparisons to the unagitated magic of Cleo Sol or Olivia Dean, so effortlessly does Becky Sikasa weave harmonies on top of each other, writing touching, vibrating off-pop songs. So touching that her debut EP "Twelve Wooden Boxes" was nominated for "Scottish Album of the Year" alongside albums by Paolo Nutini, Joesef and Young Fathers. On it, Sikasa tells of the first big breaks in life, of loss and abandonment, but also of finding. With her current EP "The writings and the pictures and the song", the singer picks up on this world of thoughts and her success and talks about working on love, for the world, for others, for herself - and the constant process, because that means: "Work of Love in progress".
