Sucked full of life, drunk with lightness, the senses in high gear. On their second album "Soaked", Hamburg indie pop band BILBAO celebrate precisely these states. Memories and resistance, liberation and euphoria. Everything is present. Fueled by a sound that soars with high energy. Guitars that build up in a complex way. Rhythms that drift in accentuated dynamics. And which accelerate the pulse time and time again. The vocals repeatedly flood you with this feeling of wanting to leave immediately. The whole aura of "Soaked" feels more epic and contrasting than on the previous album. With influences ranging from rock and afrobeat to dreampop. The best example is the collaboration with the Hamburg band Willow Parlo for the track "2002". Léon and singer Noemi talk lyrically about overcoming inner barricades.
