Verena Billinger and Sebastian Schulz deal with society, the public and the choreographic constitution of the human being. For their artistic modeling and staging, they focus on the role of the body. They understand its movements as transmitters and signs of life. Using conceptual settings, they interrupt and rework choreographic conventions, develop alternative proposals and act them out. They consistently work in a multi- and interdisciplinary way in various forms and deformations of forms (choreographies, performances, installations, collages, etc.). Always based on their preoccupation with dance, choreography and their history, they analyze identities and differences, tensions, conflicts, emotions and affects. They make bodies and physicalities visible and work on the space of how bodies can become visible.
