In the artist's words:

The band BOBBY RAUSCH works with an expanded concept of jazz. The unusual, lowered instruments (baritone saxophone, bass clarinet and drums) in combination with a well thought-out use of live electronics create a powerful sound that is oriented towards the club culture of the capital and its sound signature. However, the musicians by no means hide behind the technology, but instead emphasize their physicality and the handmade.

Inspired by the interfaces between jazz and hip-hop, digital and analog, the Berliners play music in the field of tension between control and improvisation, which works just as well in small clubs as it does on large festival stages (e.g. XJAZZ Berlin, ELBJAZZ Hamburg).

Their understanding of music remains anchored in jazz, but diverse influences, border crossings and the latest findings in beat research flow naturally into the Bobby sound world.

The debut album "SOAP" (2019) and the EP "Hidden" (2020) will be followed in April 2025 by the new album "Stones & Stars", whose tracks were tested for their suitability for intoxication before being recorded on stage.

At their concerts, BOBBY RAUSCH fearlessly lead their audience through the darkest bass valleys and pulsating groovescapes. The exceptional musicians conjure up the urban night, filled to the brim with electro beats and rock vinyls, and will spare no sonic energy for all those who have had enough of compromise. Handmade in Berlin!
