Conductor - sound visionary - sound shaman

"Ever since I was a little child I knew that the Divine Presence - in all that is - is absolutely intertwined with the music and with my life. I just had to find out how exactly."

Bohodar Bohdan Shved comes from Ukraine and is an expert in seeing music not as a static work, but as a living moment: real-time music that is created in space and actively involves the listener. He combines classical choral training and opera conducting with elements of improvisation, ritual and spatial resonance.

His musical career has taken him through renowned institutions such as Lviv, the Mozarteum Salzburg, Leipzig (Christian Kluttig) and the Schola Cantorum in Basel. His approach is to give space to sound in its purity, to unfold sound and make it tangible. He is known for combining traditional and experimental forms of sound.

He is realizing his vision in the Human Symphony project: Churches and cathedrals become living resonance chambers again; musicians and audience create a symphony together that only exists in this one moment.
