Bon Enfant

In the artist's words:

Bon Enfant is a quintet that is as diverse as its members and is as much a passion as it is a way of life.

The band was founded at the end of the last decade by Daphné Brissette and Guillaume Chiasson to break new ground. They were soon joined by Etienne Côté (LUMIÈRE), Melissa Fortin and Alex Burger - and soon released their eponymous debut album, which was hailed as the best French-language album of 2019 by Le Devoir and won the GAMIQ award for best rock album the following year. From the outset, the band's groovy pop sound leaned heavily on folk rock and psych, and two years later they returned with Diorama, an even broader spectrum that incorporated aspects of image music, disco, hard rock and glam rock - a winning combination that earned them the Félix for Rock Album of the Year at the 2022 ADISQ Gala.

It wasn't long before the band went on tour in Quebec, Europe and the UK - the start of a worldwide hype that pushed the territorial issue of language to the background in favor of good melodies. With a permeable, open-minded rock style, the band insists on adapting popular resonances while carving out new musical niches for the future.
