Behind "Caribou" is the Canadian-born Dan Snaith. The musician is hard to miss in the electronic music scene. He is characterized by his love of experimentation and curiosity for new sounds. Caribou's music is multi-layered, sounds are stacked here.

His range is wide, there are songs like "Bees" that are quieter and more experimental, dancefloor/trance hits like "Never Come Back" or tracks like his freshest release "Broke My Heart", a song reminiscent of 2000s hyperpop.

Who the f is Caribou? And how many?

Dan Snaith's second passion is mathematics. He was born with it as the son of two math professors. Dan Snaith studied mathematics until he ventured into the music business in his twenties.

He released his first record in 2000. Back then it was still under the name Manitoba and he was known for his innovative samples and a soulful and jazzy touch. But Dan Snaith was not alone with his name at the time - after a legal dispute with the singer of the Dictators, Handsome Dick Manitoba, he finally had to change his stage name.

At this time, the alias Caribou was born, with which he also discovered new sounds for himself. His earlier albums, such as "The Milk of Human Kindness", focus on a sensitive, psychedelic folktronica sound that also has a natural feel.
