Catching Flies - also known as multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ George King - is a prime example of a modern musician. He blurs the lines between mainstream and underground, between electronic and "real" music as easily as the biggest and best. His music is a bass-heavy yet melodic mesh of brooding electronics and intricate rhythms, incorporating nuances from hip-hop to house, from soul to jazz.

Since the release of his debut album Silver Linings in 2019, Catching Flies has steadily released a series of acclaimed singles and EPs as he finalizes his sophomore album, due out later this year. They typically cross genres, highlighting Catching Flies' ability to effortlessly maneuver and experiment across the spectrum of electronic music. These include the "absolutely brilliant" (Lauren Laverne, BBC6 Music) hit single GLY, which has been streamed over 20 million times to date and features remixes by respected UK dance/pop band Hot Chip and DJ Boring of Ninja Tune. But also the piano piece Diamonds, which was supported by artists such as Nils Frahm and Jungle.
