In the artist's words:

The ensemble chaos|cadence, consisting of Ariadne Dalatsi (voice), Sophie Kockler(clarinet), Jorma Marggraf (piano) and Adrian Thieß (trumpet and electronics), was founded during their joint studies at the Lübeck University of Music. In their work, the musicians focus on the development of interdisciplinary concert formats in which classical and contemporary music meet text, image, performance and new media. In their projects, they try to build bridges between music from different eras, especially new music. Experimenting with and exploring acoustic and electronic soundscapes plays just as important a role as contextualizing them. With this approach, they won the Possehl Music Prize for New Musical Performance Concepts in January 2023 and the prize for originality at the D-bü competition in Nuremberg in May 2024. Their concert tour this year is sponsored by the German Orchestra Foundation.
