Chornfeld

Chornfeld is a fresh and colorful jazz choir from Leipzig. As an a cappella choir, we offer our audience a broad spectrum of modern polyphonic vocal music. Virginie Ongyerth has been directing our choir since 2007.

The Chornfeld jazz choir uniquely combines an emotive, modern a cappella pop sound with elements of jazz, swing, gospel and adaptations of traditional folk songs.

Our repertoire includes pieces such as Can't stop the feeling, The more I see you, Wade in the water or In einem kühlen Grunde, whereby our repertoire regularly undergoes fundamental development.
