Company Christoph Winkler: Saal Songs & Dances about the Weather

DANCE
The dance piece combines stories about African rainmaking rituals with climate
the climate data of melting glaciers in Europe. Ancient tales
of a rainmaker, the mother of Ugandan dancer Michael Kaddu, connect two phenomena of disappearance.
Poetic hologram projections become a spatial experience and make it possible to experience how the climate crisis is changing the water supply. The three dancers create a language of movement that reinterprets traditional African dance.
